Which player will be a big hit at Leipzig?
Leipziger Stadion’s new owner Peter Beyer is in for a big year with the appointment of new president, Peter Beier, according to his former club’s current head of sporting operations.
The Bundesliga outfit, currently in the second division, will play in the Champions League group stages in April, but it will play at the first-leg tie at the Stadio Olimpico on April 13 with a 4-2 victory over LeipZerg.
The club has struggled to score goals in the Bundesliga in recent years, but Beyer believes the signings of Christian Benteke, Ilkay Gundogan and Christian Pulisic will help turn the tide.
“The new ownership is looking to improve our performance, and I believe we have a new signing,” Beier said.
“Christian Benteky is a new player, but he is an excellent prospect, and we know he will help us to achieve more goals this season.”
Ilkay Gundurgu is a great signing for us, and he will be very good for the future.
“Leipzig have had a difficult time since the departure of Borussia Dortmund’s Borussia Mönchengladbach, who won the treble in 2012, and then their relegation to the second tier in 2014, with Beyer’s club finishing in fourth place in the first division.
After the departure from Dortmund, Beyer has been on the hunt for a new home since the beginning of January, but a sale is still unlikely.
However, Beier has not ruled out the possibility of bringing Benteki to the Bundesliga for a final season, with the new owners reportedly interested in signing him to an extension of his contract at the club.”
We are in a bit of a transition period in terms of the club’s financial situation, so we are looking for a solution for the next few years,” he added.””
He is a good player, and his signing would be great for the club.”
“We are in a bit of a transition period in terms of the club’s financial situation, so we are looking for a solution for the next few years,” he added.
“It will be difficult to make a decision on a new stadium.
But the club is going to try to find a solution in the next three to four years.””
This season will be the biggest of my career, as it is my first season as president of the football club,” Beiers statement said.
“I have been lucky enough to have managed a great team for the last eight years.
We will see what happens in the coming years.”
Leiperzer Stadions new owner has announced his new coaching staff and has announced a new date for the start of the season, which will be April 13 against the second-placed Ligue 1 side Lorient.
Leipzigers next match will be against Bayer Leverkusen on April 21.
