How to find a free doctor in the U.S. from the US Dept. of Health and Human Services
I’ve seen patients come in for a free MRI, CT scan and heart exam in the ER.
They were in a hurry, they had nowhere to go and they were in dire need of urgent care.
But how can I get free medical care at a local emergency room if they don’t have insurance?
I knew I wanted to do my part to help people like that.
I worked with a community of like-minded individuals to create a health insurance plan that would cover their doctor’s office visits, lab tests, x-rays and CT scans.
It was called the Giant Eagle Pharmacy and I’ve been working with the local emergency department to help make it happen.
Here are the steps: 1.
Create an account on the GiantEagle.com website.
Register for a health plan with the federal government.
Complete the enrollment process.
When you visit the emergency department, you will be able to get free access to a free ER visit and lab tests.
When the emergency room has finished their tests and their patient arrives for a scheduled appointment, they can get the lab tests and x-ray.
After your appointment, you’ll be able access a free lab test or x-.
The ER will let you know if you’re eligible for a referral for a visit to the doctor, even if you aren’t eligible for insurance.
The Emergency Department will tell you if your test results show up on your doctor’s bill or bill will pay.
If your test comes back negative, you can get a free CT scan.
When your ER appointment is over, you are eligible to go home.
You will have access to an ER nurse who will be there to make sure you have all the necessary medications and procedures covered by your plan.
When emergency room visits end, you won’t have to wait in line to go back to your home.
If you have insurance and your emergency room doctor can’t take you to your local ER, you don’t need to wait for an appointment to get care.
