Online pharmacy sales hit their highest level in more than three years – Bloomberg
New York-based pharmacy giant Mylan Inc said online sales rose 7.9 percent in the first six months of this year, reaching a record high of $1.6 billion.
The company, based in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, said its online pharmacy business grew at a CAGR of 7.6 percent to $1 billion in the year-ago period.
It said it expects the company to post revenue of $2.7 billion this year.
Mylan said online pharmacy sales are now up 7.7 percent year-over-year, while sales of retail pharmacy grew 11.4 percent.
In a report to analysts last week, Mylan reported that it has already shipped more than 200 million EpiPens to patients.
The company said it has sold 1.4 million Epitax Epi-Pods, 1.3 million Epidiolexs and more than 1.5 million Epiolex EpiXpeds to patients across the country.
